RULES & REGULATIONS
Many takedowns, sweeps, positions and submissions are legal throughout each division of Copa Nova. However, it is important to realize what you can and cannot do. Please download the PRE-REGISTRATION KIT for a detailed outline of the rules for each division we offer. We have included an extra attachment to the rules which is a quick comparison table illustrating the general differences between gi & no-gi divisions as well as experience levels. The table simply shows obvious infractions and where certain techniques become legal based on experience.
Like any sport, please read, study, and understand the rules prior to competing. They can be used to your advantage!
